Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed out or emotionally run down? Do you find yourself struggling with relationship issues whether it be constantly getting into arguments, finding it difficult to communicate or feeling lonely in your relationship?  I have dedicated my career to helping others learn to work through life’s challenges by processing current stresses, problem solving their difficulties and learning new ways to cope and manage their issues. Seeking counseling is the first step to ending emotional pain and suffering. I provide a safe and welcoming place to take the first step on your path to emotional wellness.

I enjoy assisting individuals to overcome struggles in their life and help them to achieve wellness. My therapy practice includes working with adults for individual and couple’s counseling. My expertise lies within but is not limited to helping people to manage struggles with depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar, substance use issues, co-occurring disorders and relationship issues. I received my Undergraduate Degree in Psychology at Truman State University and my Masters of Education degree at The University of Missouri- St. Louis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on marriage and family counseling and substance abuse counseling. I am a trained eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) counselor. EMDR is an evidenced based treatment designed to treat emotional distress related to painful memories or experiences in life. I am also trained in level 1 and 2 of the Gottman Method for treating couple’s issues. The Gottman Method is based off of research of over 3,000 couples spanning 50 years to the present. The Gottman Method is designed to assist couples with learning to manage conflict, enhance friendship, affection and intimacy. My approach to counseling provides the aforementioned specialty trainings as well as a person-centered approach where I work to create a non-judgmental environment based on your individual needs.
